Ronaldo opens own "CR7" hotel and lodging
Funchal - Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo introduced his own lodging on Friday called "CR7" after his initials and shirt number, while the air terminal on his home island of Funchal was renamed in his honor.
Only two weeks in the wake of driving Portugal to the Euro 2016 title in France, the national group captain showed up on a porch of the red-shaded building ignoring the ocean, wearing a white baseball top.
"It's somewhat interesting. I could never have envisioned that I would be an hotelier at 31 years old," said Ronaldo of his lodging which opened for business on July 1.
In the interim, the president of the Madeira area, Miguel Albuquerque, said that the nearby airplane terminal would be named in Ronaldo's honor.
On Saturday, Ronaldo will visit his new historical center which is arranged on the ground floor of his inn.
A second "CR7" hotel is because of open in Lisbon in the not so distant future with two hoteliers arranged in Madrid and New York in 2017.
